Off to the Caymans!

Tonight Greg and I leave for a trip to Grand Cayman with my friends Jessie, Shelby, and Anna, and their significant others. I'm so excited! We've made some good progress on the house in the last couple of days, and we are ready for a break!! Here are the latest pictures.

The cabinets were finished and all hardware installed just yesterday. We still don't have the sink plumbed in or appliances yet, but just having a countertops again seems like a luxury. One of the light switches in the kitchen electrocuted Greg yesterday - kind of scary - so that's on our "fix-it" list as soon as we return.

Greg is becoming a tile-cutting expert!! Since our tiles are 18 x 18, we can't always use the guide on our tile saw. In order to cut straight lines then, Greg needs to actually see the blade, which is typically covered to block the spray of water from the saw's basin. It's all fun and games until it's midnight and he's covered in tile spray...

The bathrooms have proportionately more cuts for the square footage, so the going was slow, but I think these turned out very well . Now we just need to pick out some grout, install the toilets and sinks, and the bathrooms will be finished!

I'll post vacation pictures in a week or so when we return - Bon Voyage!
